5/25/2023 0 Comments Slow Bloom by Anah Crow![]() I liked some parts and there were a lot of parts that I skimmed over. Review 2: WARNING!! Kinda spoilerish.Hmm I wasn't sure how to rate this book. The dialogues were quite repetitive.Still, I enjoyed the book immensely, even if I had to take breaks while reading it. Considering there is no major conflict in the book, it was too damn long.3. ![]() I'd have rated the book higher, but it had its flaws. Not to mention the hotness that is those two together. There is little to no angst in the story, just a slow blooming of a tender relationship. ![]() I loved their interactions, the mutual admiration and respect, the care they took of each other. And Ricky, despite being 19, was quite mature for his age, but still had that naiveté and shine of youth. ![]() Jack - a retired Master, successful writer, a bit cranky, but so wise and experienced and cavalier.I loved him. The age gap between the heroes is the biggest I've come across so far - 30 years! - but they fit together really well. Review 1: Reading this book was like basking in the sun - warm, languid, sensual. ![]()
